In 2013 I launched my original curation blog project "Curiosity Crossroads" (www.curiositycrossroads.com), where I posted on a variety of topics (and featured resources), and did weekly recaps, but the goal was always "is this interesting, insightful, or useful information?" The same year I launched a podcast called Noise in my Head where I interviewed a variety of people about their jobs and other things (a couple notable examples of guests - Heather Payne - founder of Ladies Learning Code, Jesse Brown - founder of the Canadaland podcast/website).

I did these projects for the love of learning (I didn't make any money from them).

Now I have upped my game and these past projects have converted into new ones. I'm writing an ongoing series of books known as the Curiosity Guide series of which there are 14 so far, and once again interviewing people (but this time in video form!) as well as blogging again for The Most Interesting Thing Project.

I have received great feedback about the work that I do, but I'm very limited in what I can do for free. So if you see value in these projects, I would love for you to help support them so I can do them more and eventually make them my primary focus.

Come learn, connect, and be inspired with me!

Reader suggested! I will do a random act of kindness for a stranger and document it for you. Once I have compiled enough of these, I'll share a post for Patrons to show them the collective good they did! I'm all about restoring your faith in humanity, cause cynicism sucks, yo!

I'll give you a shout out on social media (to an audience of over 1,100 followers on twitter) and will thank you wherever else I can. You can let me know if you have a project or cause of your own that you'd like me to include in the shout out. I might even try to make the shout out into a haiku for fun.

In The Most Interesting Talk Show, I do a segment titled "pick a card", 3 random topics are presented to the guest and they pick which one they want to hear about. Starting in episode 8, this is done with an actual card, and for $5 you can own one of these original cards from the show - autographed!

If you contribute $10 per month, I will make you a personalized card (I do love arts and crafts!), and it will either be really silly, or will feature one of the many quotes from my quote compilation ebook, and I will attempt to illustrate the quote in some form.

Or you know, you could ask me to draw you a picture of something silly and random. I can do that too.

If you pledge $20 I will do some quick research on a topic of your choice, and make a short video (and/or blog post) about what I learn. I may also wear a silly hat or some other prop, if you wanted.

For this reward, I will set up a video chat hangout (myself and the 5 pledgers, so you'll get to meet each other) and we can do a discussion group type thing where we each share something interesting (doesn't have to be something you learned, it could be something you made).

The next time I have a prominent guest, I will let you know in advance and you will be able to submit a question of your own (perhaps the most interesting thing they think/know about something specific) to be asked during the interview. I can segment that part of the interview to send to you only (if you want), so you'd essentially be paying for a VIP question ask.

For this reward, I will inform you in advance of upcoming special guests, and I will do my best to allow you to ask a custom question directly (most likely via video chat) to the guest of your choice. If I'm not able to do this, we can discuss an alternate reward.
Goals
$0 of $100 per month
Unfortunately it isn't free to get domains and host projects. I'm not complaining, but if I can get $100 in pledges per month that will help cover basic operating costs and allow for some minor upgrades (maybe even an actual production assistant!)
