Weekly Rant/Rave about something in the Game Biz
$250 per article
At this level, I post a free weekly rant/rave about something going on in the gaming business, for Patreon supporters only! This might be a quick note about a Kickstarter project I find useful, a quick review of a game I just acquired or played, or something else like that. These would be a couple hundred words at most; a short blog post.
Graphic Design / Production Videos
$500 per article
I add a monthly graphic design and production video to the schedule, focused on gaming work. Patrons at certain backer levels will get it as part of their backer level!

I've worked full-time in the hobby gaming business for the last 12 years: as a freelancer, as a staff graphic designer, and now as the co-owner/co-founder/designer at Posthuman Studios LLC.

Over the years I've learned a hell of a lot, much of it the hard way. About making games, making products, selling those games & products, dealing with clients and freelancers, licensing, handling conventions, budgeting, and the other billion things that go into the business of publishing.

I want to share what I've learned with gaming fans, publishers, and potential future publishers.

To begin with, I'll be doing this with a series of monthly articles (500 words and up) talking about different aspects of the gaming business. Supporting Patrons will get access to these articles roughly a week before they go live on adamjury.com. These articles will be licensed under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA license.

Here's a smattering of articles I've previously written about the game biz:

Making Announcements: Pitfalls & Products
Creating Playtest Kits for Card Games
Pricing for Niche Electronic Titles
Piracy Doesn't Matter
Creative Commons: (Part of) Why We Give Our Games Away

The following articles have been written thanks to the kind support of my Patrons:
The History, Current State of OGL Publishing, Pathfinder, and “d20″
Executing at Gen Con and Other Conventions

Down the road I hope to produce some videos and maybe do some live Google Hangouts as part of this project.
