We're 'Ad Astra Comix' - started in 2013 as a blog dedicated to writing about comics with social justice themes, today we're a publishing collective dedicated to producing social justice comics. We have put out 3 full length titles since 2015, and have plans to publish at least 3 more this year.

We're in a place of transition right now, so our Patreon page reflects. If you're interested in supporting our work as publishers and artists, this is the simplest way to do it. Any support you provide will go directly to the publisher where it will be used to cover expenses and invest in our future. We'll do our best to keep you up to date about books we're publishing, events we're planning and anything else we get up to. Cheers!

We're not the only starving artists out there. If you want to support our work but have limited resources, this is a great way to make a difference in our lives without breaking the bank. If everyone who followed us on Twitter donated $1 / m, we'd make a living wage.

$2 is the typical cost of a bottomless cup of coffee, aka artist fuel. We can't overstate how important this is, so to thank you, we'll send you an Ad Astra button.

(Note: the photo is from our last batch of buttons, so yours might look a little different. We'll be in  touch with details)

What can $5 buy in today's economy? A day of storage at the warehouse where our books live. A deli sandwich at one of our marathon meeting sessions. A pack of printer paper.  A little more time for us to sustain things until we can sell the movie rights to our lives and life like rock stars on the California coast.

You might not think $8 is a lot of money, but it'll buy a tin of coffee, so I'd call it an essential contribution to our work.

$10 could get you into a pretty good nightclub. We're gonna use it to buy office supplies, though, or maybe cover some shipping costs.

We drive a 2005 Toyota Matrix which is exactly as glamorous as it sounds. We have driven it all over America while working. Consider this $15 a month a contribution to its inevitable repair bills.
$20
$20 or more per month 0 patrons
$20 is the amount of money that seems like a lot of money. Bank machines dispense $20s. The second you break it, even to buy a pack of gum, it immediately evaporates into coat pockets and couch cushions.

We won't buy gum with your $20 though, unless it's the kind of sticky office gum you use to put up posters.

$25
$25 or more per month 0 patrons
$25 is the amount of money that you need for things that you think cost $20. This is probably cause of inflation.

With enough $25 a month donations we can build an enormous network of mutual aid that will crash the money economy and cause massive deflation. Then $25 will be worth something again.

$50
$50 or more per month 0 patrons
A $50 bill is an inconvenience, so it's a good thing these are digital donations. We won't be inconvenienced in the least - in fact, we'll be quite grateful. You will receive an enthusiastic e-mail with a picture of the Ad Astra collective members smiling idiotically.

Or not, it's up to you, I guess.
