About AgoraCart

For nearly 20 years AgoraCart has been a leading provider in Ecommerce shopping solutions. After some extreme trials for the project leader, including the death of his oldest son who had been in the US Navy, the project slipped from its leading role in the ecommerce community and was in progress to be shuttered slowly circa 2017 due to the hardships.

However in 2017 while completing a masters degree in software development, AgoraCart was chosen as one of the course projects - an Open Source Software (OSS) project. AgoraCart needed to be modernized for new mobile and data requirements. Time was short though. So the ground work was laid for a new database engine which was completed for the front-end, but the back-end management would have to wait. The mobile and responsive UI/UX development took the spotlight and was completed in late 2017 for the customer facing side.

AgoraCart was then split into two tracks. First was the "Route 66" version that would be mobile and responsive UI/UX ready, and then the second would be the "Phoenix" version that would build upon the Route 66 version with the inclusion of a more powerful database engine.

Now with a new look, and with a once-again motivated project leader, AgoraCart is ready to rise from the ashes as a renewed bird to take flight, like the fabled Phoenix. Please become a Patreon supporter of AgoraCart and help me make this great project sustainable and once again a world class ecommerce shopping solution for small and independent etailers.
