About

Thanks for visiting our Patreon page and for being a fan of The Academic Health Economists' Blog.

Pay what you want

Everything we publish will be public - patrons won't get access to secret content. Support us by giving whatever you think is fair. We also offer monthly rewards that you can select when you want them.

Why we're raising funds...

The blog has been running on a shoestring since 2011. We've gradually increased our output and our audience. We've got a brilliant roster of authors contributing to the site, who provide top-quality academic discussion every week. But, with your help, we think we can do even better.

We'd like to extend what the blog has to offer readers. In particular, we'd like to add new regular features to run alongside our weekly journal round-up and our monthly Thesis Thursday slots. Remember the journal club? We have a ton of ideas just waiting to be implemented, but they all take time to produce. And sometimes things cost money. Check out our goals to see what we mean.

Have a say in what we do...

We'll be setting clear goals so that you can see how we'll be spending the money, and patrons will be given the opportunity to guide our future development. Right now, we're starting modest and hoping to cover existing costs. Beyond that, our first hope is to be able to expand the functionality of the website to allow for more feature-rich and interactive blog posts. And then, well, that's up to you!

Keep us going...

Sometimes it's hard to judge how valuable the blog is to people. Becoming a patron is a clear signal to us that what we're doing is worthwhile, and it will go a long way to making sure that we keep putting in the hours to bring you coverage of developments and goings-on in the field.

We'd love to hear what you think of our Patreon campaign. Get in touch!

Goals
$29 of $40 per month
With a regular income of $40 per month we could enhance the functionality of our website. This would enable more interactive and feature-rich blog posts and create opportunities for novel content.
