Welcome to my Patreon!

Here you will find speculative fiction in a variety of flavors — sci-fi and fantasy, space opera and modern magic, horror and the occasional absurd experiment, adventure tales and fresh apocalypses weekly.

The fiction here runs the gamut from tiny stories, barely over a hundred words long, to serialized stories rolling on towards novel length. It’s by turns happy, sad, deep, shallow, and sometimes a little bit dark; to my best of my ability, although many of the stories here are set in my existing universes, they are stand-alone, requiring no previous experience with my worlds to enjoy.

I like to think of this as a private look at my desk: here you can read stories nobody else has access to, jot down prompts in my ideas notebook, peek into my map case, and rifle through my archives.

A subscription to the desk-top gives you a mini-’zine every month, and the more subscribers, the more bang you get for your buck. Each month has a theme, picked by poll, and each month the patrons peeking into my to-do list can prompt me on that theme. If it’s your first time prompting, I will write a story to your prompt, even if that means more stories that month than the milestone tier calls for.

If you want to try-before-you-buy, there’s always free fiction available; just scroll down, or click the “public” tag (here). Or check out my author page or my long-form serialized stories at edallyacademy.com and addergoole.com.

  • I will write your reader-insert or original character of your choice into a trunk!  In a 1000-2000-word story, I’ll detail the abduction or willing capture of your character and their confinement into a very nice trunk.
  • Subsequent months will have the trunk appear in the background of other stories, so that your character can — in a sense — travel around the multiverse.
Goals
$147 of $160 per month
Appendices: The Alder-zine is multi-topical! At this milestone, anyone at the $7 "Recipe Box" tier and above will have access to a second recipe.
