Choose your adventure... AGAIN! :D

And if we hit this Milestone Goal, I'll commission a new digital wallpaper and you'll get to vote on who's in it, decide whether it's naughty or nice, and this time you'll pick THREE characters from any of my comics to be together. In this case, the MORE will definitely be the merrier! :D
I'll tell you a new story!

You guys! $10,000? That's crazy! But I'll never underestimate how amazing y'all are, so if we hit this goal, as a group, you'll let me know what kind of story you'd like me to put out there in the world and what format you'd like it to be (prose? short comic?) and we'll make it happen. :)

About

I write action/thriller comics featuring heroes who just happen to like other guys. They are intended to be enjoyed by women and other cool folk, and you can read them for free online as webcomics.

Click here to read my completed sci-fi graphic novel, Artifice, for free. You can also buy a trade paperback at my store or from Amazon. (The Amazon reviews are always fun to read.)

My currently updating comic is a superhero story called The Young Protectors. We post every week on Saturdays and we have well over 250 pages up already and the first trade paperback volume will be released in Spring of 2015. Click here to read The Young Protectors for free online.

Hi, I'm Alex Woolfson.  As a gay kid growing up, I loved science-fiction and action stories, but I never got to see what I really wanted to see—and that's kick-ass genre stories with heroes, real heroes, who just happened to like other guys. That's what I tried to tell with my science-fiction comic, Artifice, and it's the kind of story I'm trying to tell with my ongoing superhero webcomic, The Young Protectors.

I've always made my comics available to read online for free and that's not going to change. But over the past few years, the work has moved from being a part-time hobby to a full-time job—with very part-time income. I pay my artists a real page rate and, as my comics have grown in size and readership, I'm having to turn down more and more work from the day job to keep things going which, over the last year, has meant burning through my savings. I'm looking for ways to make creating these comics truly sustainable on the long-term, so I've decided to try Patreon—and that's where you come in!

All pledges and support will be directly responsible for allowing me to continue working and making stories with gay heroes (and other cool folk!) And by being a Patreon supporter, you'll get access to a bunch of cool rewards, like sneak previews of the art, digital pin-ups and wallpapers, a special YP badge for your Disqus Avatar, free e-books, access to an exclusive Google Hangout, even free stuff from my store!

(Here is a link to my Patreon FAQ, with an index of all rewards posted so far.)

You can pledge as little or as much as you'd like, and depending on your pledge level, you get a bunch of backer-only benefits:
