Hi my name is Antonio Marcelo, I´m an indie game designer/developer with a lot of crazy ideas and a passion for make games. I grew up in the 80’s, during the golden age of arcade rooms and first console games. I played Atari, NES, Intellivision Coleco and a lot of game arcades. I was fascinated with games and the main question was: how can I release one?
Many years spent in a boring world of IT and network security, a light come on the internet. I made my first electronic game in old rpgmaker and afterward I discovered click´n play, gamemaker and construct. I spent a lot of months studying, game design, programming and learning from the oldies the secrets of making games. I tried many ways to release my first games, but one day I found my way in the indie game philosophy. I started my first big project Berdolock´s Dungeon, a rogue like the game with my "game mythology" and RPG world. I was stuck in this project, but I learned a lot of things. I tried again in an another project, but I was stuck again in game art... I never give up and I started another project in a pixel art style, chiptunes and a lot of action...
BINGO ! I found my path to games.

ASC DUNGEON is a plataform/adventure game from the same universe of Fields of Gore ( https://amarcelo.itch.io/fields-of-gore-beta) and Orc Leader ( https://amarcelo.itch.io/orc-leader), both developed by me, filled with lore and fun (In the future I aim to write tales about Lyzarbhy and it´s heroes).
In ASC Dungeon you play as Kharlazan the Mighty , a barbarian hero imprisioned at the terrible Berdolock´s Dungeon, a murky place bellow Berdolock´s tower. Berdolock, son of Rolok, is a evil and powerful necromancer that deals with dark magic. Your goal is to escape from this dark place, fighting against orcs, undeads, demons and a lot of terrible minions.
The game is quite simple, but not easy. And I´d really wish a lot of fun for the players.
The idea behind ASC Dungeon sparkled when I saw some old BBS game stuff and the 80´s oldies with my wife on youtube.. I love old/retrogames. Love the classics like Trade Wars, Starflight, Lord of the Realms, Conan for the old Apple and a lot of jurassic titles. Chatting with a great friend of mine, Carlos “Gigoia” Monteiro, game designer, artist and owner of Gigoia Studios (gigoiastudios.itch.io), I decided to make a game with an old visual and hard gameplay. I worked on another 8 bits/retro titles, and I was fascinated for old games. The guys behind these old classics, with poor resoures, designed fantastic and unforgetable titles. Today any game designer, with outstanding resources and a lot of softwares, can make a game, and I followed the path of these old guys: make games and have fun during the process.
“If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants”: this quote from Newton, reflects my spirit state. I´d like to make a tribute for guys like: Steve Barcia, Syd Meyer, Jeffre Johnson, Greg Johnson, John Hill, Gary Gygax, Julian Gollop, Chris Sherrick, Richard Hamblen and a bunch of software wizards. ASC Dungeon is based in ANSI Characters, translated for the actual days.
