Little Printed Gifts
If I reach this goal, I can definitely start making more detailed print-quality illustrations, and smaller extras such as stickers and bookmarks. Contributing patrons will be guaranteed some sort of goodie sent out to them either monthly or semi-monthly. (Details will be determined once we reach this goal.)
Storytime!
If I reach this goal, I will be able to set aside a lot more time outside of regular commissions to really focus on some of my larger ideas, such as drawing and painting comic pages to describe some Ahnurthian legends and stories, alongside my monthly sketches and illustrations.
About
I'm known in many places online as “Amber Aria”, as the self-employed artist of "Sunset's Aria Art Studio", and as a 25-year-old female Canadian university student preparing to become a high school art and English teacher. I'm a fan of anything Legend of Zelda-related, X-Men comics and cartoons, and trying to cook a variety of new and interesting recipes.
I can't thank you all enough for giving your support for my art and my ideas, and I hope others will find the world of Ahnurth compelling and unique, like the fantasy worlds that gave me so much inspiration as I was growing up.

THE WORLD OF AHNURTH
Ahnurth is a fantasy world that seeks to rewrite many concepts commonly associated with the fantasy genre, making something refreshing and new. Dragons are not defined by their outward appearance, but rather by their internal structures. Magic is divided into four familiar elements that interact and clash in unique ways. Humans and dragons are joined by new races, the ounten and illusuro, and a wealth of other creatures. Ahnurth is a world where everything has been developed to create a space of wonder, inspiration and potential. What once began as a collection of "homeless" story and character ideas slowly but powerfully bloomed into the expansive, beautiful world that currently makes up Ahnurth, and since it earned a proper name, it has never failed to inspire. I want to share details of how this world works and how it looks, its myths and legends from every culture, sweet stories of love and friendship, and tales of tragedy and victory. Stories of Shennoku's Cavern, the first avatar of Essaim, the floating library city of Haist-Kai, the formation of the ounten by the goddess Myr, the creation of Ahnurth... I could go on for pages yet describing the sheer amount of content I want to create.
But rather than simply tell you about what I want to do, I'm asking you to help me show it.
THE PROPOSED PROJECT
This Patreon is dedicated to help cover the cost of two very important resources: time and supplies. I've always wanted to work more seriously on content for Ahnurth, to begin creating all sorts of materials for curious people to enjoy. I want to create illustrations, hand-painted comics of Ahnurthian lore, an explorer's diary of flora and fauna, short story collections, and eventually a trilogy of novels. Unfortunately, with other obligations such as school and work having absorbed my time, I haven't had the ability to work seriously on this project until now. And to reach those lofty heights and create all the material I eventually hope to share, I need to start with the basics and begin finalizing my core concepts and designs.
One thing that has been particularly important to me about this project is the fact that I want to create finished work with traditional media rather than digital. While most of the artwork that I finish for commissions currently is accomplished via the computer, I feel like I've neglected half of my creative potential for digital convenience. There's an aspect to my traditionally-created artwork that I can't replicate digitally, a certain sort of intimacy and artistic magic that I feel more accurately suits the mood and style of the world I want to share. I hope to practice with materials such as charcoal, watercolour paints, watercolour pencils, India ink, and gouache.
Funds earned through my Patreon will help with:
- upgrading my student-grade art supplies to professional-grade
- purchasing a better scanner or camera and tripod to help more accurately record my traditional artwork
- obtaining better reference and research materials
- printing and shipping art prints and various art goodies to patrons
Every bit of help you guys can give me as patrons will mean the world to me, and I promise that your money and support will go towards making something amazing.
