About

Thank you for following and supporting American Crime Journal! ACJ is an independent investigative media group focusing on true crime and the criminal justice system. Created and produced by Damion Moore (D.D.L. Moore). ACJ writers and contributors include Travis Moore, Micheal Whelan of the Unresolved Podcast, John Eckberg and more! We've been featured on Dr. Phil, Unresolved Podcast by Micheal Whelan and Nina Innsted's Already Gone. Check them out!

Our Mission

The mission of ACJ, is to create a better informed public through in depth coverage, examination and review in all matters related to true crime, hate crime, violence, missing persons, criminal justice and injustices in the United States and beyond. To explore the "criminal justice system" by gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges we face in appreciation of today's events, ideas, and culture. Today's "true crime renaissance" has became a toxic environment with an overall lack of integrity and seriousness, most programs focus on gimmicks, marketing, appeals to emotion and often has a complete disregard for the truth. The Nancy Grace Effect and CSI Effect has damaged the integrity of the judicial system and has given the rise to the demand for retribution- birthing virtual lynch mobs who in turn ruins many innocent people's lives. This must change.

We are unbiased in seeking the facts and truth, however, we are not neutral. Using established facts and vetted information, we will form an opinion. While some contributors and their articles the editorial don’t always agree with, it is purely an honest perspective of the author who approaches the case and vets the information providing perspective using common sense, maintaining integrity and the highest ethical standards.

Our Standards: Striving for Excellence!

We take great pride in American Crime Journal on our accuracy, ethics, integrity and standards when it comes to our opinions, articles and reporting. ACJ maintains rigorous standards in our reporting. All statements, allegations, evidence, information, whatever it may be- prior to publication, must meet certain standards & criteria before we put it forth.
