Hey,

This is Brad, the guy behind American Ethnographers. I am a one-man operation, writing, performing, recording, mixing, mastering, and releasing my own, original music. I strive to release a new song every month. Registering my copyright and getting each song uploaded and distributed to all those places where people listen to music (e.g. Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, Amazon, etc.) involves one-time costs of about $92 per single and then annual costs of about $20 for the service and an additional $8 per song (and that's not counting overhead, like URL registration, DAW costs, instrument maintenance, etc. that tend to add up as well). So far, the revenue from streaming and downloads has not made a dent in covering the expenses.

American Ethnographers is a passion project for me, though. I'm lucky to have a nine-to-five gig, and I have no illusions (for now) of profiting from this; I just want to share my music with the world. I would, however, like to not hemorrhage money for the sake of my serious leisure.

That's where you come in! If just twenty of you kind souls are willing to contribute $5 every time I release a song, I can continue to make music without breaking the bank. For essentially the price of one fancy cup of coffee a month, you can help me get my music out there for others to listen to.

Thanks for even just considering helping me out!

Best,

Brad
