Get To Know The Artist!

AndYes is a top-ranked poet in the world, having competed in the 2019 Individual World Poetry Slam, and he is a first-generation Cuban-American asexual spoken word artist with Major Depression, featured on Button Poetry, Write About Now, and has worked with major organizations like Planned Parenthood, The California Democratic Convention, and the United States’ first time hosting the World Economic Forum as well as being the recipient of several grants from the City of Sacramento, California to work with youth and adults on self-expression and personal growth.

In 2015, he represented the city of Sacramento in the National Poetry Slam (the city’s first representation at NPS in 8+ years), and 100 Thousand Poets for Change overseas in Salerno, Italy. AndYes has also been featured across Sacramento as part of the uprise of the arts in the city, as well as the West Coast, and Europe. He has made 10 chapbooks, one full-length compendium of his works, and has two albums of his work.
