Work with Worbla
$200 per month
Worbla is a thermoplastic that is used by many cosplayers to create armor and props.  I have been previously unable to work with this material and thus expand into armored cosplays due to budgetary constraints but with your help I could start creating much more elaborate cosplays!
Get a new camera
$400 per month
Currently my only video recording devices are borrowed from friends, an old DV tape camera that doesn't hold charge or my iPad.  This makes it very difficult for me to film videos regularly.  Getting a better camera would allow me to record regular vlogs, tutorials, top 5s, music videos, behind the scenes and shorts easily.
Go to a Nevada or Arizona con
$800 per month
I get a lot of requests to attend out of state conventions but with my financial restraints it's very difficult.  With your help, I could afford hotel, convention, parking and gas to attend a nearby West Coast convention.
Go to DragonCon &/or NYCC
$1,000 per month
As my budget is fairly tight it's difficult for me to leave the state to attend conventions so I'm exclusive to SoCal for my conventions.  With your help, I might finally be able to meet some of my cross-country followers by attending an event on the East Coast.

About

I am a 28 year old cosplayer living in California.  I was born and raised in Texas and moved to NY when I was 10.  I started cosplaying back in the early 2000s, took a hiatus for a few years in college and actively rejoined the community in 2012.  I am a self-taught seamstress and crafter with a college degree in cinema & photography.  My interests span a broad range from animation to comic books to manga to movies and anything and everything in between.  I enjoy finding ways to combine my interests to create more unique content.

Cosplay has changed my life in more ways than I knew possible. It gave me the push to lose weight when I was 200 pounds, knocked me out of my comfort zone and introduced me to the best friends I've ever had and gave me the motivation to get a job when I was unemployed and struggling to survive.  Cosplay has had such a large impact on me that I can't imagine my life without it.

I went to college for film & photography, practiced as a makeup artist, performed in theater and film, taught myself to sew and have been singing since I could talk. Cosplay is an outlet for me to expand my talents and bring everything that interests me together.

Since I started actively cosplaying in 2012, I've made two fan films and over 30 costumes as well as performed in multiple cosplay musicals and created costumes for others. I enjoy challenging myself and seeing how far I can push my limits to create new and exciting content.

I've learned a lot since 2012, and I know it's time for the next step.  I'd like to start making more complex designs and work more with props, armor and wigs. I'd also love to film more tutorials, convention coverage and other behind the scenes but all I have access to is my iPad and an old DVtape video camera, neither of which take very high quality video and importing and editing them takes days.

I'm looking for support from Patrons because so much of my funding goes into purchasing materials for costumes that everything else is forced to fall to the side. With your help I can potentially invest in a new video camera which would make filming vlogs and other videos much easier and better quality, start working with more advanced materials like Worbla and maybe even travel outside of SoCal for a convention!

Your help allows me to give back to you that much more.

The thing I love most about cosplay is the community. I love interacting with people who appreciate my work and sharing ideas with fellow creators. I don't know how to tell my supporters how much they mean to me but every encouraging word helps push me forward to becoming a better cosplayer and performer. Any support that you can offer means the world to me so don't feel bad if you can't give much. Believe me, I understand.

To everyone who does decide to become a Patron; thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Cosplay and being able to bring some of my favorite characters to life through video and photo makes me happier than anything in the world ever has and I feel so blessed to have people who want to help me grow and see more of my work. To everyone who can't; remember a Like on my Facebook Page is a way to show me your support and every new follower means more motivation for me to keep being my best.
