Who are we?
Animalia is co-hosted and produced by Farley Connelly, Annie Aulsebrook and David Roker. Farley is a scientist and avid birder. Annie is a scientist who also likes birds but has to ask Farley what a lot of them are. David is a normal person but also an audio engineer who keeps the podcast from derailing completely.

What is Animalia?
Ever wondered how dolphins sleep, what a snail sees, or why praying mantises eat their lovers? These are the types of topics we love to talk about. Animalia is a science podcast about the weird and interesting things that animals do. Every episode we talk about, as you might have guessed, animals - chatting with experts, debating with friends, adventuring out in the field or sometimes just chatting between ourselves (we know some stuff, we promise).

Why make a Patreon?
We love this podcast, and as much as we would like to spend all our time on this, Farley and Annie are PhD students and David did an Arts degree. So to keep this going, we need a little support!

The money you donate will help:

  • Purchase even better recording equipment (taking Animalia into the field!)
  • Cover our yearly web-hosting fees
  • Fund travel expenses to record in the field and interview scientists
  • Pay our hardworking graphic designers and music composers
  • Create content more frequently (the dream!)

At the moment, we’re just putting out some feelers to see what support we can find. If you’d like anything in return for your support, reach out - we’d love to hear your suggestions for Patreon rewards! (No promises, though!)

Thank you!
