What the fox?
You've signed up as a $1 patron! This means you've been granted insider access to view #MindfulHearts cartoons like this one that have landed in the trash heap. WHAT WAS GOING ON WHEN I DREW THIS??? To be fair, plenty of my cartoons don't make a lot of sense. But these drawings don't make sense even to me. Lol. I welcome discussion of these weirdos. Who knows!? Maybe you'll help resurrect one from this virtual landfill. Enjoy!
You've signed up as a $2 patron! This means that in addition to being granted insider access to view #MindfulHearts cartoons that have landed in the trash heap, you also get to see all of the weekly comix for the month BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE. I welcome discussions of these drawings. Who knows!? Maybe you'll help change the direction of these comix before they go public. Enjoy!
About Anna D. Hirsch
I've been drawing cartoons on the web for over ten years. In that time, I have struggled a lot to feel comfortable calling myself an artist and have gone in many different career directions in part because of my challenges with claiming this identity. With the help of other artists and deeply wise people that I wisely gathered around me, I have changed. Today, it is hard for me to see myself as anything other than an artist. And I'm excited to be here in the world making art.
Along with art-making, my writing and editing have moved funding toward social good projects, helped shape international progressive storytelling, and supported explorations at the intersection of personal and public wellbeing and creativity (www.ActivistEditor.com). I am also a practicing psychotherapist with a focus on supporting healthy relationships of all kinds (www.LiveLikeLove.com). I am committed to building a world in which relationship psychotherapy practice and curriculum everywhere are inclusive and supportive of all romantic relationship models, and where psychological knowledge of and practice in compersion, or joy resonance, is common. I explore all of these themes in my cartoon #MindfulHearts and often through feedback create new cartoons related directly to the experiences of my readers.
I am happy to be engaged with a growing community around the intersections of art, healing, and activism, and at the same time, a lot of my energy and time goes into unpaid or underpaid work. Patreon is a way to demonstrate that you enjoy my art and to support me financially.
