Hi! We're Allie & Jordan, co-founding editors of the Anti-Languorous Project, an online open-access literary hub. The ALP is home to antilang., a magazine of literary brevity, and soundbite, an audio collection of byte-sized readings. We love good short writing, regardless of form, genre, or style. We recently launched issue no. 3 of antilang. and vol. 2 of soundbite on our website. We are currently open to submissions for issue no. 4 -- succinct speculations -- and general submissions for vol. 3, which we hope to launch in the spring.

Our primary goal with Patreon is to provide contributing artists with hard copies of the issues in which they appear. We also hope to eventually pay our contributors, allowing us to support and promote emerging talent and put them into dialogue with established writers. We are a federally incorporated not-for-profit based in western Canada and funded in part by the federal government. We are excited to expand our community and share our love for concise writing with you!

Thank you for supporting The ALP! While we love being an online magazine, we understand some people like to take their reading with them offline. So, in addition to the patron-only perks, as a Digital Denizen you will receive a high-res PDF file of each issue as it is released.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in patron-only monthly writing contests, from which the best three entries will be featured on our blog.

Thank you for supporting the ALP! While digital texts are great, there's something to be said about the smell and feel of a freshly bound book. Omnianaphile
$10 or more per month 5 patrons
Do you love antilang. and also love collecting curiosities? Then you're in luck! In addition to the above rewards, Omnianaphiles will receive an ALP swag bag with their annual print issue, including enviable items like our colourful pens and logo-bearing coffee mug (see our Instagram feed for examples).

Your swag bag will be distributed in January (when we launch our annual hardcopy)

Goals
$79 of $120 per month
Our primary goal is to be able to provide contributors with a hard copy of the issues in which they appear (or an honorarium of similar value, if they prefer). This goal is calculated as the cost of one copy per contributor plus approximate shipping fees, multiplied by three issues per year and then divided monthly.
