Hello, I'm Anya Ehrim. You've probably come across my Patreon due to how much I talk about basic income on Medium, Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit. It's because my Patreon is under Scott Santen's BIG Patreon Creator Pledge. I actually write more about basic income than I do about my novel... I have anxieties talking about my novel anywhere else. It's not complicated to explain, but it's a moot point at the moment.

Lucid Memories is a fantasy love story with both religious and scientific themes, but cocooned in existential mental instability and emotional disconnection. It's told in a first person, dual-perspective through a boy named Lee Raywick, and a girl named Amber Keski. The primary setting is in an alternate reality of my hometown between 1985 to the mid 2004 and Amber's half of the story is heavily autobiographical to help with creating an extreme contrast between the main characters. I don't know if that's interesting enough, but it is 3/4 of the way completed. I'm editing and rearranging chapters for story clarity at this point before I continue.

The art I post here is for the novel. I post sketches and art on Tumblr, too. Feel free to stalk me both here and there, but I'd suggest here because Tumblr is a silly place. Like Camelot.

I'm also newly-introduced to the Steemit community. If you're familiar with it, that's where I'll be posting my blog content before it goes anywhere else.

A Little More About Me:

I have two accreditations through Northern Michigan University: One is my Master's in Creative Writing and the other my Bachelor's of Science in Illustration. I primarily focused on social psychology and Japanese-style character art, but I was taught to be eclectic overall. I basically write about anything that interests me now, and try to apply down-to-earth logic to it so others can understand it easier.

I'm medically unemployed, so my only source of income besides cleaning the reception area of my fiance's father's shop every weekend is this money through Patreon. That's just something to keep in mind... It would be fantastic if I didn't have to endanger others on the road by going into an anxiety-induced seizure, you know? (My fiance lives so far out of town...)
If you're still interested in me, visit my personal website. It's simple at the moment, but there's an art portfoliosocial media activity tracker, and short stories to peruse there. I also have an online diary that you can look through if that also sounds interesting for some reason. Of course, being unemployed, I'm always available for freelancing.

All that said, thank you for reading. And thank you all my current supporters. I'm always working on something because of you. Your patronage is astounding to me.

Scott Santens's Patreon Pledge

If I earn more than $1012/per month, I have promised to put excess earnings toward other patrons taking the same pledge. To be honest, I won't make it that high. Nonetheless, I think $12,000/year is more than enough to live. $12,000/year would also be sufficient to supplement my fiance's income, and give him more time to do his own artwork, which is metalwork/blacksmithing.

Scott Santens himself is a very proactive writer, and a prominent, well-learned figure in the Basic Income movement. He's already over his pledge goal, so he's already diverting his excess funds to his pledgers. You should go check him out and support his Pledge experiment here on Patreon.

As far as Basic Income, it is about providing every individual, regardless of status or earnings, a structural financial foothold. He's always writing articles which go into depth on how to pay for it. For me, I'd just be glad if no one is ever forced into destitution anymore. I've seen and felt the precipice far too well in my childhood to know it is absolutely decimating. I have very little self-worth (and health). People like me should be avoided at all costs, though some would say I deserve this.
