Hi! I'm Amanda Parker Adams. Writer and creator of Wolfe Angel Press. I also write under the names of Morgana Quayle (fantasy), and shortened versions of the full name: A.P. Adams.

I've been writing for over 20 years, but only in the last decade have I taken things more seriously. I have three books out and am working on the 4th. I have short stories in two anthologies: The Longest Night Watch, and Stardust Always (out 2016). I will also contribute at least one item for the second volume of the Longest Night Watch, as we're continuing the journey to raise awareness for Alzheimer's Disease. I also write poetry, but unless I get desperate, I won't torment you with that.

Why Science Fiction and Fantasy?

I grew up on it. I went straight from Clifford the Big Red Dog to Andrew Norton and so many others. When I was in college getting my B.A., my professors drilled into us the "write what you know" and, being me, I took it literally and... well... that didn't go so well. It took me a bit (college professors were a little obtuse about the meaning of the phrase) to finally catch on. I believe it should be rephrased to "write what you LOVE." For me, that's the realm of science fiction and fantasy.

Consider yourselves warned.... I'm venturing into ghost stories and the like. I recently wrote a short entry for a contest that was a spoof murder mystery bit. It could easily be expanded into something bigger.

Why Do I Write?

I love it. It's that simple to me. To create a world, sometimes similar to our own, and the characters within said world is addicting. I love creating those worlds and their stories. Then I tidy them up, make sure names are spelled right, and release them into the world for others to read. I don't write for commercial success -no, really, I don't- but more to just tell the stories.

I was writing tales all the way back in 2nd grade (something about meeting a fairy on my way home from school). I've always been one to stand back and watch how people interact and then create worlds using what I observe. I have several manuscripts in varying stages of completion. The problem? Time and energy. I live alone with two cats, so I'm the sole provider of rent and kibble. Currently I am unemployed and looking, but I would love to supplement whatever "normal" income I get with something for my writing.

The Other Creative Things...
Yes, I draw stuff. I make things. Eventually I may add higher levels and those patrons may get some bonus shiny thing... who knows.... it's a surprise!

A new doodle by yours truly each month. maybe two if so inspired. It might be a cat. It might be a wolf, it might be... "something." And yes, I can draw, I just don't do fancy stuff. Oh, and a previously unpublished (even on my personal blog) poem.
