All support is appreciated, and will directly support my goal of writing full-time on applying Stoicism. Due to scheduling restrictions i'm no longer able to provide the kinds of time-sensitive rewards I once offered; all that I can assure is that I will never stop writing material on Stoic philosophy and offering it freely as its finished.

About

I write weekly content on methods to apply the ancient virtue-ethics philosophy of Stoicism in modern-day life. I have been practicing and writing on this subject for nearly five years.

I owe who I am today to a purely accidental discovery of Epictetus's Enchiridion several years ago. I have tried to incorporate Stoic principles into my every spoken word, thought, and action since. In addition, I committed myself to writing down my thought processes with the intention to one day help others. The conditions under which I write are: Writing for show is forbidden, and my writing must mirror a real approach i've taken to a relevant situation.

A great amount of Stoic material has been lost to time, negligence, and destruction. I take the understanding of the application of Stoicism as seriously as I do because I aim to discover what may have been lost and commit it to writing. I intend to accomplish this through diligent reflection, application, and reference to surviving Stoic texts. I believe that it is my duty to try, even if the attempt may be considered controversial.

Many Stoics were prolific writers, and that is what I aim to be. It's my preference that my writing becomes my full-time work and enables me to make a living. Whether or not that ever comes to be, I intend to keep my writings always freely available to others. If it helps even one person, I have accomplished what I sought to do.
Goals
$4 of $100 per month
Attaining this goal will (at a minimum) provide funding for self-publishing materials for my book project "Applying Stoicism: Carrying the Fire." e.g. ISBNs (one is required for each edition of a book, e.g. hardcover, paperback, audiobook, e-book), editing services, cover design, and miscellaneous expenses such as printing and distribution.
