ARCHFOSSIL
This is a platform for all of my interests and everything I make. That might range from full Tabletop RPGs, Supplements, Articles, Roll20 Videos, Gameplay Videos, Twitch Streams, or whatever else comes to mind. Right now in the early phases, the main project is Atlas Spire.

What is Atlas Spire?
A labor of love for the last six years or so. A tabletop RPG that features deep customization for all players. Running on a d20 system, Atlas Spire will be familiar to most gamers and easy to explain to newcomers. Character progression is modular, meaning you're never confined to one role. Be whatever you want to be! Crafting in game is limited only by your imagination, you're encouraged to get crazy and make full campaigns of your machinations. And the world is massive, brimming with life and adventure for you to experience.

So why support it?
Thing is, it all comes from one person (me). It's also pretty time consuming, and it'd be easier to justify staying up all night to write / record to an angry girlfriend if it's bringing in money. On a more serious note, the money will help me get a more permanent site to host things. Free sites like wordpress only allow so much data storage on free plans and putting out everything that I want to put out will eat through that pretty quickly. Instead of deleting the old to make room for the new so nobody misses out, I'd like to just host the stuff myself.

Any other money that doesn't get spent on site hosting will be spent trying to find artists and illustrators with the talent and willingness to change subject material every month or so. I would do this myself, but I am a horrible artist. I've never even had a drawing on the fridge, even after i had my own house and fridge and nobody to tell me "no." Trust me, it's best left to the professionals.

Any other, other, money will be handed over to my editor. You may be concerned that this is last on the list, but my editor is also my girlfriend who lives with me and knows I'll cry if she doesn't help me. So everything will be edited upon release regardless, but I'd love to help justify her English degree.

So you just need money for art?
Yes and no. There are several other goals like a better streaming and recording set up and getting stuff to print. Things that I would never be able to do alone and need some help with. Art just feels like a good place to start because it's easy to commission and adds a lot of depth to anything I publish. Plus if I establish a relationship with some artists I like early, then the style will stay consistent throughout the future of Archfossil and everyone will be happy. Artists will have jobs, my writing will be paired with art, and everyone can enjoy fine quality games and illustrations.

But why this and not <similar thing>?
I'm putting all this stuff out there because I think I'm genuinely good at it. I don't typically think I'm good at anything, so this is special to me, and I hope it'll be special to you. Plus I'm doing things that I think are pretty unique. Atlas Spire uses a modular character design system with like 90 race and class options (each) which I've never seen done before. RPG a Month will make its return after Atlas Spire launches and that's unique to Archfossil. If you like entertaining streams and gameplay I'm putting that out and if you liked the humor on this page enough to read it all this far, then you'll probably like that too because it's the same guy (hi.)

Plus I heard <similar thing> smells funny and they won't love you like I love you.

Any questions?
I imagine this might not answer every question or concern you've got, and that's totally fine. You can get a hold of me here or in any number of other ways and I'll always answer your questions honestly and as quickly as I can.

This would be enough to pay for better software to make cleaner looking publications, character sheets, and other cool stuff for Atlas and RPG a Month entries.
