About Arc Iris

Dear beloved supporters of Arc Iris,

After four full-length albums and an EP, we’re extremely excited to announce iTMRW, our latest and most ambitious project yet.

iTMRW is a 75-minute theater piece set to a live performance of Arc Iris' upcoming futuristic concept album of the same name. It’s premiering through the The American Repertory Theatre (A.R.T) on January 25th and 26th at Oberon in Harvard Square and features contemporary ballet and performance art by Island Moving Company and performance art direction by Mustafa Samdani.

The year is 2080. iTMRW, the love story of Robert and his android partner, Jenny, unfolds against the backdrop of a world where advanced technology is both a source of and a “cure” for human alienation: advertisements come in the form of “pop-up thoughts,” entire cities float on islands of trash, female forms are purchased and discarded at will, and aristocrats live in a state of debauchery and despair. The piece takes its title from iTMRW, the mega-corporation that produces and sells every single product known to man. Despite societal chaos, the human spirit persists in its quest for love.

This is a BIG one. For years, we've wanted to create a project of this scale and, incredibly, we're moving forward with this dream. Obviously, a grand project like this requires a large sum of money which is why we're looking for your help. Believe it or not, this show has 22 people involved, all of whom need to be compensated for their hard work. We have a number of budgets laid out, which allow for different levels of creative freedom, and while in our wildest dreams we are able to reach $40,000, we are starting with an ask for the minimum needed for this show to go on: $23,300. That’s still a lofty number to reach, but nothing is impossible. If you’re curious where all of this money is going, have a look at our BUDGET.

Because we like making things complicated, there are three ways you can help bring iTMRW to life.

  1. Tax Deductible Donation: Click here to make a tax deductible donation of $250 or more.
  2. Patreon: You’re already here! If you don’t already know, Patreon is a monthly billing service that helps independent artists like us get paid for our hard work in exchange for exclusive bonus content. We chose Patreon over a regular crowdfunding service because it provides us with a platform to interact with those of you who are interested in staying involved with the evolution of the project. If you’re hoping to donate $150 to the project, choose the $50 per month tier and stay active for three billing cycles. If you want to donate one lump sum, just choose the amount you'd like to donate, and then cancel your subscription. After the performance in January has concluded, we'll send you a reminder to cancel your Patreon subscription. You can of course remain a patron or change your donation status if you’d like to continue following us via Patreon.
  3. Paypal: If you’re like, "this is too confusing, make it simple", you can make a one-time donation directly to our Paypal HERE.
If you have any questions, comments, concerns, feel free to contact us at: [email protected].

Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.

Jocie, Zach & Ray
