About Artfully Learning

Artfully Learning is a blog and audio series about the integration of contemporary art and educational themes. Through the lens of artist, art historian, curator and educator, I explore examples of contemporary artwork that have symbolic learning capabilities inside and outside the classroom. I write about a diverse range artists whose work relates to key ideas in educational theory and practice, and provide resources (lesson plans, remote learning ideas, inspiring works of art and creative consultation) for students, teachers and artists alike.

Since 2017, Artfully Learning has been a labor of love. I spend countless hours and resources researching and writing content. All content on Artfully Learning will always remain free for the public to read. By becoming an Artful Learner on Patreon, you are supporting my labor as a writer and helping me to sustain Artfully Learning. In addition to having my eternal gratitude, patrons will have access to exclusive content, which includes (but it not limited to) art guides, artist and educator features, lesson plans, the occasional meme, illustrations, digital/paper zines and more! I am also offering studio visits and consultations (via email, live chat or phone) to help patrons conceptualize their work and write compelling artist statements, biographies (and website/social media copy), proposals, lesson plans and more. These services can be scheduled with me at your convenience.

I am always happy to receive feedback and advice, so please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, comments or topics you find interesting!
