ABOUT US:
Craig is an educator, public speaker, musician, and artist based in Boston. He specializes in mental health education, wellness, sexual health education, and sexual assault prevention. You are able to book him for public speaking engagements by emailing him at [email protected]! You can check out EVERYTHING that he does at CraigBidiman.com!

Katy is an artist and educator who does a little bit of a lot of things. They have a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and Photography, and dabble in most visual art mediums. They are also an avid crafter who enjoys embroidery and making stickers/shirts with their Cricut machine. You can contact them at [email protected].

Our Nonprofit - Art of Survival:
We have run a non-profit called Art of Survival for nearly years! We provide a space for survivors of all kinds to share their stories and make them free pieces of art based on their survival. We also provide resources for sexual assault prevention, bystander intervention, suicide prevention, LGBTQ+ identity, recovery from substance abuse, and more. We do this work in an online space - by having an archive of survivor stories, and the opportunity for anyone to share their experiences. We also do our work in the music scene - spreading messages of inclusion, sexual assault prevention, and recovery support.

We believe creating a space like this online is essential because our generation spends so much time online looking at negative messages, news, feeds - everything, and we want our website to be a space where people can show, find a new story to bring them closer to healing, and recognize that none of us are actually alone in this world. We believe doing this work in the scene is essential because we both grew up going to gigs, playing in bands, and booking gigs - and along the way, we've picked up a lot of experience in combating sexual assault and pushing for scene inclusivity.

After 6 months of virtual internet silence, and amid discussing the ways to expand our work, we are relaunching this project so we can do even better work - but we're gonna need a little help! So your support would mean allowing us to sustain the materials necessary to continue providing these services for free to folks who share their stories with us and to our community.

A little over a year ago, we added tabling at concerts, gigs, events, and putting on educational workshops to our repertoire and this has become a truly influential aspect to our work of fighting sexual assault and violence at gigs and in our communities. We also make a bunch of patches, stickers, and shirts. Supporting the Patreon account will give donors digital access (and physical - if desired) to our full array of resources, and maybe even workshops for your company, organization, or campus.

For Bands:

We have also expanded our reach to include partnering with and sponsoring bands with our materials. We currently partner with Sharptooth, Future Teens, and War on Women. For bands, we provide our services for shows/merch tables free of charge - only asking for a slight hype during their set! So if you're a band and would like to be sponsored by our content and outputs, please let us know over at [email protected]!

We also offer our services to table for your gig if you're coming through town and would like us to be a presence at your gig! AND if you're extra supportive and want to bring us on tour with you - like how Katy is touring with Sharptooth - we are available to do that as well!

We prefer supporting acts featuring women, femmes, queers, nonbinary, and trans individuals - and if you're in an all-cis male band, that's fine! We just wanna make sure you're doing the work! Which, if you found our page, you are likely doing that - and hell yeah!

CREATIVE OUTPUT:
DESIGN:
Katy has quit their full-time job and will take a few months to dedicate themselves to design, photography, and other creative efforts while getting a break from higher education. If you would like Katy to do some headshots for you, or couples photos - there is a tier for that! Or you can email them if you'd like them to design posters, pamphlets, branded content (for a business, personal use, or your office), shirts, stickers, patches, cross-stitch, or even REUPHOLSTER your furniture.

Craig makes commissioned pieces of art - you can request that he paints you something sick to hang in your home or office at work! There is a painting option in our membership tiers, which if you'd like to receive a painting through supporting us, you can select that tier and Craig will make two for you throughout the year or both at once! Visit craigbidiman.com/crigart to check out his art!

In addition, a PODCAST:

Craig makes a pretty cool podcast called the eduPUNX Podcast, where he talks with educators that do cool shit. Supporting the Patreon will give donors the chance to learn more about the creative/editing process, and what it looks like to make a DIY podcast. There is also a space for record labels and personal businesses to be sponsors for the podcast and receive weekly HYPE segments on the podcast! Check out that option in our tiered section. All of the funds secured through this tier will go to the work at Art of Survival.

For the last nearly three years, we have done all of these things with the money we earn from working in Higher Education, but these projects are becoming extensions to our lives and we'd love a little extra support to make sure these projects are executed fully and completely.

Goals
$18 of $500 per month
Hell, $500/month would be so helpful for us to pay for all of our materials for the projects we create and some of our extra, smaller bills. This tier would ensure that we can send all Patreon supports at least one set of goodies - chosen at random.
