My creative soul lies in a deep-seated need to paint, my life's work spanning five decades; whether in my studio creating Fine Artworks, out and about chronicling live events, or sharing my passion for traditional techniques with a worldwide audience via my current and extensive catalogue of online art tutorial videos.

Traditional techniques form the basis of my particular method and process of working, which I maximise and manipulate to achieve the effect of light – the signature feature that is present in every one of my original Fine Artworks. Sharing these traditional techniques form the very essence of my painting tutorials – which are about opening up the possibilities to exploit the minimum of materials to gain the maximum results – something everyone can aspire to do, when shown how. These art tutorial videos, filmed in real-time, are accompanied by my running commentary throughout and are packed full of tips and hints – nothing is withheld, nothing is edited out.

Having previously written and illustrated thirteen published how-to books, hosted my own painting holidays/courses and been the joint creator and technical editor (with my Life-Partner, Eileen) of a series of painting magazines, we embraced the opportunity, over ten years ago, which online videos offered us, to present much more detailed and informative demonstration tutorials.

This is what our video tutorials are all about - I guide you every step of the way, in absolute detail, so that you can work-along with me at a pace to suit you.
