About Atulya K Bingham

Hello! I'm Atulya K Bingham, natural builder and author. I'm also founder, author, editor and coffee maker atThe Mud Home website and Earth Whispering blog. A huge thank you for making it to this Patreon page, and supporting me and The Mud Home. It is an action of the heart, and I'm deeply grateful to every patron.

For seven years, I have shared the vast majority of my work and knowledge for free. The Mud Home website offers oodles of information and inspiration on building with mud, low impact off-grid living, empowerment, and my personal insights into a more fulfilling life connected to nature. The free Mud Earthbag Building PDF has been downloaded over 20 000 times from people all over the world; from Texas to Mumbai, and from Istanbul to Melbourne. I've answered hundreds of questions on earthbag building and plaster, also giving my time for free.

I have always kept my site advert-free, because I refuse to support or send traffic to unethical, ecocidal corporations, but the fact is websites, internet connections, technology, email lists, all require money invested upfront. And the more traffic The Mud Home gets, the more it costs to run. I love creating this site and writing the blogs, but it takes up an awful lot of my time and is expensive.

When you give to me via Patreon, you allow the Mud Home site and the blogs to continue so that others can download my free PDFs and books. You also help sustain me, so that I can continue to share my experience in the field, research and collate newsletters, write articles, and update the website. You allow me to invest in the site and upgrade it. Finally, you are expressing that what I have created over the past seven years has some sort of value, either for you personally or for the planet as a whole.

What’s in it for you?By pledging, you become part of the expanding Mud Home community. Mud Patrons enjoy a number of perks (see the rewards on this post), including email priority for questions, a monthly private video from my land, and access to my news feed where I post real time (or almost) updates of my new off-grid project in Spain, and more personal musings I don't yet wish to share with the world at large. For many reasons, I no longer share much of my personal journey on social media. Instead I use this Patreon feed to connect with those genuinely interested.

Extra note: Though I share a lot of personal experiences, in 'real' life, I'm actually quite introvert (in the sense I soon find social interaction overwhelming). My land is, and always has been a place of solitude and retreat, somewhere I escape from the expectations of the world, both virtual and physical. For this reason, I can't commit to showing people my land. I do, however, enjoy meeting you here, out there, or wherever:)

A heart-felt thank you and a warm, earthy hug for your support and encouragement.

Please note the change: This is now a charge-up-front Patreon campaign. Why? Because there is now so much content on this Patreon feed, and because the admin on some of the tiers is time consuming at the outset. What does this mean? New patrons are charged on the day they become a patron, and then on the 1st day of every subsequent month.
100% complete
Thank you dearest Mud Patrons. Your support pays for 20 GB of off-grid internet, the hosting, website builder, course platforms, and mighty email list. It also pays for Melissa's crucial virtual assistance without which I'd be drowning these days. Your support has also recently helped fund my small solar power system (Phew! Without that, we wouldn't be online anymore). If I ever get to $800, I'll just about be sustained, and able to be guardian of a dog again.
