All Essays and my Archives Become Free for teh General Public
$500 per month
It shouldn't be a surprise that my target audience for my writing is trans women of colour. However, because of my own poverty, I've started charging for my longer essays (usually a minimum of 3000 words). The unfortunate thing is that poverty amongst twoc is kind of a widespread problems. This means that my target audience generally has the least access to my writing (ie, the books and the essays are usually beyond their ability to purchase).

If I can get to $500/month, then I'll be able to release all of my essays for free.

Additionally, I'll make my complete blogging archives available to the public (I mean... from my old tumblr, from my old main blog, from my current tumblr -- literally everything). Available for free and stored in a searchable wordpress site.
Ebooks all become free
$1,000 per month
If I get to this milestone? All ebooks will be free to download.

Getting here would essentially ensure that my writing is as accessible as possible while also allowing me to make a decent living.
All print books go on a forever sale
$1,500 per month
Right now, the books I publish in print are at a price point where I make some royalties. If I can reach this milestone, I will reduce every print book to the minimum required price. In addition, I'll make more of my books available in print (rather than just ebooks).

So. I write books. Books mostly about trans theory and decolonization. I'm the founder of Biyuti Publishing (but no longer have an active role in the day-to-day operations). Also the writer of decolonizing trans/gender 101, one of the first books on trans theory published by a trans woman of colour.

My general aim is to write critical but accessible theory for trans people of colour outside of the academy.

I also blog at "oh, the humanatee!". I also read the trans news every day and tweet links to stories about trans women (with occasional critical commentary). I recently switched to a monthly donation cycle to get some support for this uncompensated labour and to disengage the support from my productivity as I continue to struggle with mental illness and disability.

Anyway, become a patreon to support independent trans media!
