Saving Lives Long Term
Bad Azz Dogz is committed to decreasing shelter surrenders and increasing the quality of life of our Florida dogs and their families. The Photo-Journal has weekly features to illustrate the many activities available throughout the state. From local "Yappy Hour" to National Championships, engaging owners in these events has clear impact and improves the relationship between dog and family. An emotionally invested owner does not surrender a dog for less than the most dire situations.

All Dogs Matter
I do not focus solely on pure breeds or shelter dogs, but all dogs. dogs with registered papers may not be as visible in local shelters, but they are many. It is important to connect all oweners to fun things they can share with their dogs. It builds that critical bond and I hope to make that connection for as many as possible.

NEW: Serving those who have served
I am currently in discussions with the Veterans Administration and several national canine leagues/organizations to develop a Disabled Veterans Dogs Sports Program. Suicide rates for men and woman veterans is unacceptable and this is a very personal mission for me. Many live in extreme isolation from the world around them. Many also have dogs, and those dogs are often the one living creature they do trust. Providing a fun and positive activity their furry partners will love can be the key to break that downward spiral, engage these vets in a sociacl activity and save lives.

About Bad Azz Dogz
The page started to raise fund for a badly injured Border Collie names Bristol. Bristol and her mom were seriously injured in a storm that destroyed our home and left us homeless for a long period. Tess did not survive and I realized I had very few pictures of her. Of the very few things that survived was a very old camera. I started to take pictures of Bristol and my remaining dogs on our travels. Then included other peoples dogs. Then  started writing about these "adventures". The response has been somewhat overwhelming with the page gaining thousands of followers in a few months and statewide recognition in the various dog communities. From Working dogs to competition communities and shelters.
My own health is fragile and I I can not return to the work I have done in the past. I could not sit around either, and though I only receive a minimum assistance while fighting for the benefits I am entitled to, its been these communities support that has allowed the steady growth of Bad Azz Dogz.

2019 Making a difference
In 2019 the Bad Azz Dogz pages are taking a serious step to becoming more professional and less a personal project. I have validated by Press Credentials (originally earned as an editor in the 1990s) and given the website and social pages all new media and added features.

Not a hobby, but a mission.
Travel, fundamental costs of repairs, logistical costs (website hosting, etc) are all beyond my personal income, and this has become far more than a hobby. It is now a mission.
The program is starting to work. With the rapid growth reaching a wider audience every week, we are already seeing the increases in new dogs appearing at events and fielding daily questions from people wanting to learn more.

Success depends on you
I clearly can not afford to continue or implement the full potential of this mission without the encouragement, support and patronage of people who believe in what I am doing. I hope you can help. Subscription to Bad Azz Dogz through Patreon is a new (somewhat experimental) program for 2019.
Critical Needs include simple costs of travel and maintenance, but also the need to complete 501 c3 registration and licensing. Bad Azz Dogz is a charitable program and not a buisness. Every penny donated is ivesnted in helping these dogs and their families, I I hope you will come join the pack to see this dream come true.

Thanks you for coming and please visit Bad Azz Dogz to see that this is a real thing and hopefully gain a sense of the thousands of hours already invested and many more to come.
