With $1500 from Patreon, I feel confident I can make enough income from other sources to make sure taxes are covered and that I won't have to worry breaking even every month. It’s the tipping point past which I can try to make this a real career.

At the moment running ads every hour during the stream is a necessary evil as I try to eek out a career. At $1600, I can get rid of the ads, and keep them gone.

My degree is in creative writing. I love writing, and when I wrote I was decent enough that I won some small awards. These days it’s fallen to the side. At $1750, the fiction comes back. I’ll begin writing fan fiction for your favorite games and original worlds that Patreon can work together to build.
Video Equipment
Professional interviews need professional equipment. Access to better video equipment allows me to create better content at industry events, as well as documentary-style featurettes to show you an inside glimpse at streaming and the video game industry.
Baroness at Conventions!
The PAX, E3, etc. convention tour is the single best thing I can do to make contacts and bring you more exciting opportunities and content. But alone, I’m limited in what I can do. At $2250, it’s possible for Baroness to come along, and provide not just amazing moral support and strength, but to help me record professional interviews and featurettes.

Improvement is based on learning. Career Development allows me to invest in my own skill set by enrolling in classes to teach me better interview techniques, study professional video editing, youtube management, photography, and more. This is very important.
Equipment Upgrades
The equipment I have is good for a beginner, but could be much better. This level allows me to periodically upgrade my computer, streaming equipment, recording equipment, and replace parts as they break down from use.

At the $3,000 level, Patreon supporters allow me to seek out and acquire that talent representation, and bring this incredible community to the world.

When I started streaming on Twitch in June of 2014, I had a simple goal: Make someone’s day better through quality entertainment.I had no idea that it would become my career, or lead to the creation of a community filled with incredible individuals who share my passion for space, science, and the video games those subjects inspire.
Bad News Gaming is now the largest gathering of space sim fans on Twitch. And this community has done incredible things, from raising thousands of dollars to help children with cancer and their families, to raising awareness (and even more funds) for research into the treatment of depression, autism, PTSD, and addiction through the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation.
At the core, my goal has stayed the same: Enrich people’s lives through entertainment. But you’ve shown me we can do so much more, and now we’re pursuing that path further.
