Once we raise $500, Jim and I will create and maintain a forum at baldmove.com just for Bald Move listeners, hosts, and fans to hang out. We'll do live episode watches, discussion threads, and have areas for general communication and idea exchange. If you are a Patron, you will get exclusive access to a VIP area where we will be discussing new podcast ideas, talking about plans for the future, voting on custom podcasts, and much more.

Jim and A.Ron host a variety of podcasts on television, movies, and pop-culture for Bald Move. Their unique chemistry born from a lifetime of friendship and passion for the "Golden Age of Television" make their shows entertaining, earnest, and insightful. TV commentary is being swallowed up by media corporations and conglomerates. Bald Move fans are fighting to keep commentary independent. We need your help.
When ESPN launched 35 years ago, everyone thought the idea of a 24x7 sports network was crazy, and would never work. But sports fans had the passion and the appetite, and now we have dozens of round the clock sports networks. One problem; they're all owned by huge corporations that value cozy relations with teams and executives over their honesty and independence. It hurts their coverage, harms the integrity of the leagues they cover, and frustrates fans.
TV fans have a passion for storytelling and drama just as strong as any sports fan, with an appetite for information, analysis, and discussion to match. The companies and conglomerates who make TV realize this, and they are beginning to swallow up the commentary on your favorite shows with blogs, podcasts, and after-shows of their own. There is no independence and very little honesty. These are being packaged, marketed, and sold, and maybe that's fine for something like toilet paper, motor oil, processed cheese, and shitty beer. But it is not okay for something you are passionate about.
You want genuine, intelligent, passionate voices with opinions you can trust, humor that makes you laugh, and viewpoints you actually care about. Those voices require independence. Your support of Bald Move allows us to deliver the kind of passionate, independent content that you want. Thank you for listening, and for your interest in becoming a Patron.
