It's time. Let's team up to take on the world of bad finance.

We've paid out-of-pocket to establish Bankless Times as the go-to brand for crowdfunding and alt-finance journalism for more than six years.

Alt-finance encompasses Bitcoin, blockchain, cryptocurrency, fin-tech and alt-banking.

We're looking to ramp up our content production as the industry matures and gains critical mass. With that growth comes a greater need for a credible, experienced watchdog and newsroom that can consistently produce high-quality explanatory journalism.

We want to do more for you:
  • More breaking news
  • More deep-dive interviews
  • More educational videos
  • More live coverage of leading conferences
Essentially, we want to produce more of what you need to learn about your options in alt-finance to help you secure the funding or investment opportunity you are seeking.

To support this full-time effort, we need your help. If we could pay team members fair compensation, we could dramatically improve the frequency and depth of our content. While we have a small core audience and steady monthly traffic, we need revenue.

We've assembled a strong team. John White, our editor-in-chief, is a founding member. He brings 26 years of experience in journalism, with awards won for digital innovation and entrepreneurial efforts.

His work leading the team in live-streaming election-night coverage garnered national awards. He took a cool idea brought back from a journalism convention and built the initial business plan for the News Cafe in Winnipeg. It is a thriving TV studio, performance venue and meeting place for daily acts of journalism and has become the model for others to emulate around the world. The News Cafe concept is central to the ultimate plan for Bankless Times.

Managing Editor Tony Zerucha has become the leading reporter in the alt-finance space, generating a following among leading-edge experts and executives. He won the LendIt journalist of the year award in 2018.

His study comparing Kickstarter and Indiegogo in the original version of Bankless Times went viral and became the Wiki for those wondering about the differences. The re-posted version is still referenced on forums. More recently, his update on the rules of Kickstarter with noted crowdfunding expert Kendall Almerico has also gone viral, with more than 500 shares and 8,700 page views.

He is a sought-after voice in the space, as he receives many story pitches and submissions every week.

We also have a stable of writers and editors waiting in the wings to join the team. All they need is market-value compensation to make the jump.

We are at the edge of something huge. The timing is perfect to go full-on and push alt-finance into the mainstream and give people and business owners more real options to succeed.
$1 of $3,500 per month
With this goal, we could convince our managing editor to commit full time to the site and produce many more original articles per month.
