About Barak Hullman
Be a Part of The Chassidic Story ProjectBe a part of the Chassidic Story Project where I'll be bringing hundreds of Chassidic stories back to life through my podcast broadcast direct from the holy city of Jerusalem.
Chassidic stories are like a niggun (Chassidic melody); they can touch a person's soul without understanding how or why. These stories transcend all boundaries and denominations. They are pure, simple and deeply Jewish. This is wholesome Jewish content for the whole family.
The Chassidic Story Project is free and open to the public. When you become a patron you will get access to exclusive content available only to the patrons of this project.
About Barak HullmanI am a married father of 7 young children, all born in Jerusalem. My wife, Noga, and I host guests every shabbos and I lead the davening (prayers) at the Mayanot Shul on shabbos and holidays.
I'm also the author of two books of stories, Figure It Out When You Get There: A Memoir of Stories About Living Life First and Watching How Everything Falls In Line and A Shtikel Sholom: A Student, His Mentor and Their Unconventional Conversations.
I have been telling Chassidic stories for many years.
I look forward to being able to share more of these stories with the whole world.
What is Patreon and why do you use it?The idea behind Patreon is that you can directly back a creator financially for each piece of valuable content that is created for you. In this case that's The Chassidic Story Project.
I believe in this concept with all of my heart. It enables me to bring more value to the world with these stories by making it financially sustainable long-term.
How does this work?Every month I will podcast at least 4 Chassidic stories, once a week and have them available on iTunes, SoundCloud and YouTube.
You pay a flat, monthly fee to help contribute to the resources it takes to produce all of that content (equipment, audio engineering, hosting, distribution and advertising), and I can continue to offer The Chassidic Story Project to the public. As a way of saying thank you you'll get all kinds of perks which you can see on the side of this page.
Where does the money go?
When you become part of The Chassidic Story Project it enables me to invest in producing quality, wholesome, Jewish content that will hopefully reach millions of people.
As you know, it takes time and resources to create content like The Chassidic Story Project. Time and resources = money. Your support allows me to focus on creating the best content possible by giving me the time and resources to create it.
It also allows me to replace lower quality equipment, produce higher-quality audio and free up some of my time for important things like my wife and kids and my community.
