Hi, I'm Big Bear, also known locally as Tony Sandoval.  This project is all about bee conservation.
Here's the problem...

Far too many people have come to expect beekeepers to remove honey bees from buildings at no cost to the homeowner or property owner.  they want it done for "free".

Obviously, there is no such thing as "free" bee removal, only bee removal that is done at no charge to the owner.  There is a substantial cost to the person doing the removal in time, tools, accumulated experience and knowledge in a number of areas including bee conservation, handyman and building techniques.  ther is also acquired special equipment.

In Nebraska, if honey bees are to be removed from a structure, the entire nest must be removed in entirety, by law.  This means the wall, roof, siding, etc... concealing the nest MUST be accessed ( ie removed) in order to do it.

My project is to enedeavor to remvoe honey bee and bumble bees nests alive and in their entirety in a professional manner consistant with Nebraska pest management regulations and bee conservation best practices.  And, not have to charge low income people or keep costs to a minimum so as to rescue more and have fewer bees unnecessarily extermined just because someone doesn't have the money.

The bees are removed and relocated to a rescue and teaching apiary that I manage and are raised to benefit non-profit projects like Scatter Joy Acres with honey and beeswax.  The hives are then used to provide apprenticeships, classes, workshops one-one-one mentoring opportunities for local beekeepers to help them learn to keep hbees healthy, alive and thriving.

Your support helps me give more time, equipment, tools, etc.. to doing all of this.
