All Patrons will receive early access previews of my productions and extended versions of my live club set recordings. As these do not have regular schedules, they will be sporadically sent out. I'm working on giving more benefits too all Patrons and would love to hear your ideas!

I'm a London-based DJ, producer, podcaster, event promoter and charity fundraiser. I make different shades of house music, but in my sets you'll hear everything from house to disco to acid to afro to garage to a few curveballs.

My weekly Turned On Podcast serves up an hour of new music most weeks, interspersed with recordings from my sets in clubs and festivals and some special mixes I put together for other people.

I run three record labels: Monologues Records (deep house / disco), G-Edits (disco / house edits) and Sterns Edits (an official afro edits series in collaboration with African music giants, Sterns Music).

I produce as  Ben Gomori and G. Markus.

I also run my  RecordReplay £10 second-hand record shopping mixtape video and podcast series. I am increasingly going to be filming these and editing them myself.

I organise club night fundraisers for  Help Refugees under their Choose Love banner. So far my events have featured artists like Ben UFO, Midland, Dusky, Basement Jaxx, Moxie, Simian Mobile Disco and Secretsundaze all playing for free. I also volunteer at other Help Refugees events and I am a mentor for Arts Emergency.

Finally, I also run the  Pitchblack Playback events where music lovers come and listen to classic and upcoming album releases loud, in the dark, on immersive sound systems - and the Pitchblack Pictures music film offshoot.

My events have raised over £11,000 for charity in 1.5 years.

I quit my job in 2014 to go freelance (copywriting, creative stuff, social media etc) so I could have more time to work on my musical projects. I have been incredibly fortunate that I have always been OK for money, but I still have to do lots of copywriting work to get by. In an ideal world I would have to rely less on working for these clients and looking for work and be able to spend more time creating content, supporting other artists and working on my own music. Earning income through Patreon would enable me to move further towards this goal. As an example, I haven't had any time in the last year to create more of my Turned On Inspirations podcasts, where I have talked to the likes of KiNK, Auntie Flo and Fred Everything about their lives, careers and musical inspirations. Less time working for clients would mean I could produce regular episodes of this series again.

Running labels is tricky. Vinyl particularly so. I don't mind losing a little of money to get something on vinyl, but it can really add up. Especially if you want to take a chance on an artist whose sounds isn't the big-selling sort of sound.

I also want to launch a mentorship for a female producer as I've never received a single demo for Monologues Records from a female artist. I also don't get paid to put on fundraisers for Help Refugees. All of this is very rewarding but takes time. As I grow older and look to start a family, my time is only going to be more precious and the pressures to earn will get higher, and I want to be able to maintain as many of these creative projects as possible in the future.

The more money I can raise through Patreon, the more content I can create, the more money I can raise for charity, and the more other artists I can support.
