I used to update a lot more than I do now. That's largely because I have to spend the rest of my time doing stuff that makes money. If I can count on five hundred fifty bucks a month (a good chunk of my rent) I'll start doing two myths a week, for TWICE THE MYTH ACTION.

For the past five years, I've been retelling ancient mythology like it's 3AM and I'm drunk on chat. Apparently some people like that. I'm also a writer of other things, including this collection of faces (I did not draw the faces, I only wrote about their histories). I've got a book of mythology out now, called Zeus Grants Stupid Wishes: A No-Bullshit Guide to World Mythology. I'm also working on a novel, but if I'm ever going to finish that, I need your help!

For the past five years I've been retelling mythology like it's 3AM and I'm drunk in a chatroom. I've learned a lot from this project, and it has lead to a book deal, some speaking engagements, and a number of great friendships. I even got to teach college for a while! I do other kinds of writing, too. I work with an artist named Bex to write profiles of fictional people, and I am currently working on a weird science fiction novel about a guy who decides to kill the city of Chicago. Right now, though, my pathetic need for things like food and shelter means I have to spend less time doing what I love and more time writing descriptions of power tools for online websites.
