Welcome to the Beyond Shakespeare Podcast! We produce full cast audio productions of early English drama, everything but the Bard from the earliest fragments to the closing of the theatres in 1642. Our mission is to record literally every play written in English (apart from Shakespeare) - as well as talk to experts about the plays and playwrights who wrote them. It's a huge and exciting task, that you can help us achieve by joining our patreon. 

YOU GET A VOTE!

Because the plays are already out there, written and ready, we're not about teasing you with what's coming up. You can tell us what you want. Each level of pledge unlocks another voting option, so that you can go from voting for a playwright, to a play, to paying for specific speeches or scenes, which we'll record especially for you.
The primary voting (the lower tier pledges) will be for what we produce for a season of work, and is first past the post - but if your vote isn't successful for the current season (several months, depending on the size of plays/income), we'll hold the tally on so you can add to it the next vote. Winning playwrights and plays go back to zero and are then ineligible for at least one round of voting.
Higher tier pledges are for one off recordings of speeches and scenes, which we'll produce especially for you over the course of the following year.
