Birmingham Free Store

The Birmingham Free Store is an art project and anarchist direct action in West Birmingham. It is simply a store where everything is free. Anyone can walk in and take anything in stock for free with no judgement, qualifications, or expectations. The Free Store imagines a world where shopping is an anti-capitalist act and where no one is denied the things they need or want because they dont have the money. Everything is free because its already yours. Thanks to the generous support of comrades and friends in Birmingham and around the country, we were able to reopen our store after the flood at our North Birmingham location. We are currently located at 2030 Bessemer Road and we're open Fri-Sun from 11am-6pm. We have been open and operating for over a year, giving away whatever we can get our hands on for free. This includes clothes, books, home goods, cleaning supplies, person hygiene products, sexual health items and more. We also have a free community pantry and fridge located on the outside of our building. Anyone is welcome to use those resources at anytime of day or night. We also have a community garden on site, where we grow produce to be placed directly into community fridge and given away for free.  Your contributions on patreon are what keep all these programs up and running.
