Robert Rouse is creating Bible Data Resources

Images capture attention and ignite emotions. Pictures filled with data engage the mind. They cause us to notice something, ask questions, and search for answers. That is why I created Viz.Bible: a unique way to share God’s story in our digital age.

Google organizes the world's information with their Knowledge Graph. Facebook uses the social graph to learn about people and their life experiences. I'm doing those things with Biblical data because I believe that our study tools should help us understand the subjects in a story, not just analyze the language or weed through a loose-knit library of resources. My vision is to connect the people, places, periods, and passages of the Bible through data visualizations and new applications.

For over 8 years, I have collected information about the "who, what, where, and when" in every Bible story. My consulting career has taught me what it takes to make that data easier to use from the code to the final audience. As that audience grows, so do the costs. Your contributions make it possible to build more resources for everyday Christians to discover scripture in new ways.
