pleasure (n.)

late 14c., "condition of enjoyment," from Old French plesir, also plaisir "enjoyment, delight, desire, will" (12c.), from noun use of infinitive plaisir (v.) "to please," from Latin placere "to please, give pleasure, be approved" (see please (v.)). Ending altered in English 14c. by influence of words in -ure(measure, etc.). Meaning "sensual enjoyment as the chief object of life" is attested from 1520s.

Hey you! Thanks for finding me.

I'm a writer. Between January and September 2018 I wrote a screenplay titled Ultimatum. Now, I'm working on a book titled The Integration Project. I dedicate one full day per week to my writing work, and I share it with people like you.

Why?

Because what I write brings pleasure to the world. It inspires, it ignites, it helps people remember who they are and who they want to be - or could be.

The Background
Writers are hard to follow; difficult to watch creating. So how do you see what goes on? The answer is through a writing journal.

Originally I conceived #LeticiaWrites to share the development of Ultimatum. But over time it became apparent that the value my patrons gain is the insight. The difficulty, the challenges, the wins, the ways of thinking. And with their help, I have developed a concurrent journalling practice that has improved my own process of creation.

This is the heart of co-creation and co-inspiration.

Most updates come out to patrons on Wednesdays.
As an artist, I decided that if I am going to take my own art seriously, I need to dedicate myself to it. So I started taking one day out of growing my company, as of 3 Jan 2018. My clients were ok with it. My team doesn't mind. Then I gained paying patrons and suddenly this was a thing. Now it's almost an institution!

If you aren't so much interested in the writing process but in the pleasure you get from writing, join the Flash Fiction Club or the Monthly Essay Club. Those are totally up your laneway.

Follow me everywhere else too :)
You can find me in a bunch of other places too. I'm at @biodagar on Twitter, my primary publishing channel is [e]Xpositio, and you'll find my work syndicated to  Bloglovin'. I also have two secondary publications - a professional letter, sent every Sunday; and an exploration of the Founder's Life, over at The Next Five Years. You can also follow the hashtag #LeticiaWrites on Twitter. Between those platforms and this one, something magical will happen.

About me and why I'm on Patreon
As an artist, I've been writing since I could hold a pen. It's my profession. It's also my love. My art feeds my body and my soul. No wonder I love my job!

I love Patreon because it enables me to build a community of readers and give back to them for their support. You can help keep my body of creative works alive and inspire continuous development. You and your support motivate me to keep the creative fire alive, because you're literally funding my art.

Wow, you're still reading? Please become a patron. I'd love to be able to share with you every week.

As a patron, you get weekly updates, random acts of postcard, and a private weekly podcast. And that's just where things begin.

Kick in just $1/month ($0.23/week), you'll still get all the good stuff, including community, deep insight and love. You'll see me grapple with films, books, and even dance.

Pledge now, and let's enrich the world together.

Thank you for reading this far. Let's talk soon eh?
