Bionic Planet is a podcast of the Anthropocene, the new epoch defined by man's impact on Earth. It's your guide to the new reality of life on a managed planet.

And it is a new reality, because and nothing is as it was: not the trees, not the seas, not the forests, farms or fields; and not the global economy that depends on all of these.

But we can restore it. Make it better than it was: greener, more resilient, more sustainable. But how? Geoengineering? Are we doomed to live on a bionic planet? Or is nature itself the answer?

That's the question we address in every episode of Bionic Planet, and if you support me, I'll do my best to help you navigate this challenging new world, and with a focus you won't find anyplace else.

Specifically: Bionic Planet which looks beyond the high-tech solutions that every publication on the planet seems to have suddenly discovered and into our current and future stewardship of Earth, because even if we eliminated all industrial emissions today, we still need to deal with a severely degraded planet on which we all depend, and which in turn depends on us.

I started this in my spare time last year, and managed just 11 episodes. This year, I'm looking to generate four episodes per month, and am asking you to subscribe on a per-episode basis, but with a cap on monthly payments. This way, if I get overwhelmed on my day job and produce fewer episodes in a month, you will pay less; while, on the other hand, if I get on a crazy roll and crank out a million, you won't get whacked.
