Dear fellow
Piping Enthusiasts,
I very much want to create and share more and more original music for that most wild and rapturous of musical instruments —the bagpipes!— and I also want to see what happens to this creative output when I invite the support of a community of 'patrons' (and, admittedly, also have regular deadlines to meet).
More specifically, I want to try this Patreon model whereby, in return for a small monthly subscription—based on a sliding scale, and which you may opt out of at any time—you'll get a monthly delivery of compelling new music* for various Scottish-style bagpipes: early-releases of newly-arranged piping music, including audio tracks and sheet music, as well as exclusive background information, educational tidbits, gear talk, and performance tips for each piece, along with my gratitude and hopefully other rewards, both tangible and intangible, that relate to supporting the arts as a patron.

* To further elaborate on "new music", it will likely be a broad mix of offerings:
- original tunes written specifically for pipes
- items influenced from the 'classical' music realm
- Appalachian/old-time fiddle tunes, shape-note hymns, and other Americana melodies adapted for pipes and sometimes recorded along with fiddle and/or banjo
- sets of other traditional fare from the British Isles, Brittany, France, Scandinavia, and beyond
- sacred melodies adapted for pipes and recorded with pipes and pipe organ
- duets for pipe & voice
- pipe tunes or other melodies arranged in 2- and 3-part harmony (ideal for pipe bands and other pipe ensembles)
- perhaps the very occasional offering on the whistle, and possibly even the five-string banjo —but these creations would be, in some way, and however disturbingly, related to bagpipes
- sometimes a combination of the above concepts
