I'll do live streams while I work on Blackgate. This is so that you get to see the process. It will probably be boring but you'll get sneak peaks at new artwork and story as they are added.

Another artist will be added to the team to help with backgrounds and CG moments. This will augment the production and advance the time frame of the finished product.

Custom Backgrounds

I'll have an artist hand-make all of the backgrounds. This way the presentation becomes even more cohesive.

Project 'C' Begins

A brand new project will be started. A completely different story done by separate writers, artists and composers. It will be produced under my oversight.

Hi there Bane here,
Welcome to this patreon page, dedicated to advancing the Blackgate project. If you're here to support the project, that is very admirable. If not, that is fine too. Above are links to the previously released 'demo'. I invite you to download them and have fun. I'll get right down to brass tax and answer some obvious questions.

So, what is Blackgate?

Blackgate is a nonlinear visual novel about a town filled with monsters. The who, what, when, where, why, and how are up to you to figure out. This game is meant for mature audiences only as it does contain adult situations.

What is a nonlinear visual novel?

A nonlinear visual novel is just the fancy way of saying 'choose your own adventure'. What I mean is, this is a story where YOU make the decisions. Each decision you make could make or break the narrative to your whim. Have you ever read a book and said "Why doesn't the main character do this?". Well, here is your chance to be that character and to do what you think, when given the chance.

Why should I support this project?

Every two weeks I plan to release regular updates for the project such that I can finally reach 'demo stage'. The 'demo stage' is a solid demo that accurately represents what the final product will be. The funds raised here would be used to pay for art assets. These art assets will be from contracted artists because artwork and presentation is a huge aspect of the project. You can't have a nonlinear visual novel without the visuals.

Do I get anything for supporting Blackgate?

Oh yes, you get get a lot from supporting this project. Not only are you moving the project along unimpeded, but, you get access to a whole slew of fun stuff. If you support the project you'll be able to vote on what you would like to see happen. You'll get the soundtrack with unreleased songs. You'll get to see work in progress and story advancements as they happen. You may even create a character that lives in the town.

The Plan...

I will be releasing major updates to the demo every two weeks, give or take a few days, which will be considered updates to the demo and will be categorized as paid submissions.
