We shoot mostly live sessions music videos with great bands as this one: Manon Meurt - We Are. We appreciate that you made it to this page. Just the fact that you're here tells us that you've thought about the time and effort that goes into making "Black Tone" videos. Thank you ♥
Who? We are Jan and Jakub, two brothers from Czech Republic, who love film and music. We also play in band together. We started Black Tone in July of 2015 on the theory that we are able to shoot amazing, beautiful and powerfull live music videos, even if we've never shooted or recorded anything yet. We are both self-taught.
Why? Supporting Black Tone Media on Patreon will allow us to shoot with more great and greatest bands from all over the world. We love shooting music videos and live sessions. We really do. And we do it for free, or we just share the costs with bands sometimes. So support here on Patreon would be a huge help to make more frequent videos and even more - we would like to stream our sessions live and this will not happen without your support.
How? Several cool reward levels allow you to tailor your subscription. We would like to convince you to choose one, even at $1, so you have access to the Black Tone Media feed here at Patreon. If you sign up via Patreon you'll be notified directly when we upload a video, which is pretty awesome! ♥
What We'll Use the Money For
Our initial goal is $200/month. That money plus "our commercial works income" will be enough to keep Black Tone Live Sessions going. Our greater goal is $1000/month. Here are Wait But Why's costs:
- Equipment. We need a robust enough cameras, lenses, tripods and many more things that we rent, buy and sell again and again.
- Facebook post "boosts". When we announce a new post on Facebook, this makes sure that the announcement gets onto 1/3 or 1/2 of our Facebook followers News Feeds.
- We need to continue to eat things and wear things and turn lights on as we film or edit videos. We are guys with no kids in a small apartment in Czech Republic, so needs are minimal.
- One employee. We need someone to handle things like translation or redistribution requests, spam comment deletion, posting things on social networks and a bunch of other little jobs. These things end up adding up to a few hours every day, and without this employee, we end up doing it all and have much less time to shoot and edit videos.
That's the basics. With those pieces covered, Black Tone can support itself. You're here because you understand what we are trying to do with Black Tone Media, and you think the 100+ hours we put into most videos is worth it! You "get it". You're a fellow thinker and doer. Thank you! ♥
