Developing Worlds is a project that will build out fantasy and sci-fi world materials with a Creative Commons license to put them in the public domain.

This project is not just a lot of words. I can write and publish loads of words, and to be honest, I'm going to do that whether or not I've got a Patreon. My vision for this project is to create art that compliments the world. Constructed languages, drawings of people, costumes, and places, in-world artifacts like documents, letters, and maps are what I'm envisioning. This material will all be Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licensed, for anyone to take and use or to re-purpose for their own game world, creative project, or fiction.

The initial project will be the fantasy world originally created for my fantasy RPG The Legend of Yore. As time goes on, more worlds will be added as interest sparks or wanes. We'll be taking a fractal approach, sometimes focusing on big picture stuff, sometimes diving deep into the minutiae. Joining as a backer allows you to help guide the process of creation, adding your voice to the choices we make about what to develop.
