Hello!
My name is Brett Grunig. I am an artist and teacher based in Sonoma County.  While I teach art part-time at the Santa Rosa Junior College, I continue to work in a number of veins, including:

Fine Art Prints

I make monthly traditional print editions, mostly etchings, a practice I have continued for the past several years.  The sharing and distribution of original art is one of the core attractions of printmaking for many artists.  On Patreon, I am excited to offer my original prints as a sort of subscription to Patrons choosing to donate at print tiers.

Illustration
I have always loved to draw as a way of telling stories. I continue to adapt stories into original drawings. Many are single illustrations, but I also work in series, including children's books such as Mike Eats The Cheese, written by Dan Schieberl.
In addition to narrative projects, I enjoy working with character and creature design, such as designing chimeras. While all tiers of donation will get access to progress and process posts concerning illustration projects, rewards of digitally printed postcard versions are also available at appropriate tiers.

Comics

My work in comics is mostly coloring and lettering for the comic Princeless, written by Jeremy Whitley and drawn by Emily C. Martin, but I also draw my own comics.  The Princeless work will need to be kept under wraps (spoilers...), but supporters will have access to my creative process when making my own pages. I hope to make minicomics available as rewards in the future as well.

Why Patreon?
Living and working as an artist and part-time art teacher is a challenge.  Patreon offers a way for me to share my work with the world in a way that also directly supports the effort of making the work.  While I enjoy having a variety of art jobs, having your support will add stability to my efforts. Added stability will allow me to spend more time and energy making original work.  Even small amounts will help me make more art, and more ambitious art, to share with you and with the world.
