Hey you! Hi! I'm Britt Wilson, an illustrator, cartoonist and letterer, living in Toronto with my husband, preschooler, two cats and way too many houseplants.

In my career thus far I've dabbled quite a bit. I've done a little magazine editorial work, appearing in Bloomberg Businessweek on a few occasions and other smaller publications and I've illustrated a handful of book and comic covers. My expressive lettering work for the 6 issue mini-series Fionna and Cake (Boom! Studios) was nominated for a Harvey and Eisner award. I've also released two of my own graphic novels, Cat Dad, King of the Goblins with Koyama Press, and Britt Wilson's Greatest Book on Earth with Conundrum (which you may purchase HERE and HERE) and numerous self-printed mini comics over the years.

I haven't drawn, or doodled anything that wasn't client related in YEARS. It's not negligence, I simply have no time for myself anymore. I hate this, so much. I hope that with your help, I can carve out some time to reestablish a sketchbook and regular self-care practice.

So what can you look forward to if you become a patron? Check out the rewards over there -->
But I'll also outline them here:

Sketchbook Access
Since you're helping me make time to draw in it, it seems only fair that I give you a peek inside. I'll try to get over my aversion to showing ugly sketches, it's all worthwhile, and maybe it will be helpful to someone else struggling with perfection in their own sketchbook practice.

Videos and Vlogs!
Starting in March 2018, I'll be posting a monthly studio vlog where I catch you up on what I've been working on when I can, and also maybe talk about tools and other studio stuffs. I've also been playing around with time lapse drawing videos, so I'll be posting these as I teach myself how to edit videos. Please be gentle, I don't have any equipment right now, so I'm doing these entirely on my iphone.

PEN PAL SNAIL MAIL ART!
I'm so very excited about this new tier!! It will probably take a few months to perfect the process, so I beg you to be forgiving if you choose this tier while I work out bugs in the process. My intention for this reward is to send each patron a beautiful envelope containing some original art in the form of a letter, perhaps a doodle or a small craft, and whatever printed goods I have on hand EACH MONTH! No reply is necessary! I'll be personally writing each letter on a pre-chosen theme, almost like a blog post, but drawn by hand and sent directly to you, but if you DO chose to reply, I will of course acknowledge that, further personalizing your experience! I know this is a higher price point than most people can manage, so I am perfectly happy to write you for a single month, and then you can choose to either drop down to another reward tier, or simply spread your love to another creator. And now, check out some photos below to see examples of what you can expect in your mailbox!

Here's another example of a letter I've sent recently, and what it looked like upon arrival (somewhat smudged, as it was snowing a blizzard the day I mailed it):

(Thanks to Whitney for the much more beautifully laid out than any of mine, photo)

Thank you for reading this far, I hope you'll join our lovely little community! And a heartfelt and overly dramatic THANK YOU to all my existing patrons. If I spent all day trying to tell you how much your support means to me, I'd never even scratch the surface.

For the price of a questionably edible knock-off chocolate bar, you get access to sketchbook work I don't make public! I'll be posting process work, sketches/doodles, ideas that went nowhere, and sneaky looks at final images before the rest of the world sees them. You'll also get the warm fuzzy feeling of helping a mom with very limited work hours and childcare problems make time to make things that then get shown to you.
Videooooos!
$3 or more per month 3 patrons
I'll be posting monthly studio vlogs! Mostly just me chatting at the camera, but also time lapse drawings, and tool discussions. Plus access to the previous reward.
