Hello!
I'm Bron James, and I write stories.

Patreon is a fantastic concept which allows us to support the artists we enjoy in doing the things they enjoy and creating the things that we love, by pledging money for each new creation they make. In my case, I will be writing short stories, novelettes and other musings on Patreon. I'll be writing a variety of things, either as stand-alone narratives or as series of short stories, and my goal (ideally) is to do this at least twice a month so that I can consistently deliver new and interesting things.

You can pledge as much or as little as you wish, and every donation - no matter how big or small - means a lot to me. If you donate more than $3, as well as supporting the content I'll be producing for Patreon, you will also receive a free eBook of my first novella, Sam Hain: All Hallows' Eve.

I greatly appreciate the support, and in return I'll continue to produce new stories for you to enjoy!

A Little More About Me And My Work
I first started writing back in 2010 when I wrote a short script for a theatre production. I enjoyed working on the production so much, and the story my co-writer and I wrote, that I thought I would like to turn it into a novel. However, shortly after starting work on the novelisation, another idea came to me and I began to write that story instead. The result: Sam Hain - Occult Detective.

Sam Hain started off life as a script for a prospective detective-comedy series about Douglas Doyle, a man with next to no skill as an actual detective, but still liked to think of himself as the next Sherlock Holmes. However, he could only deal in mundane cases, and this idea was scrapped in favour of something more supernatural. As the cases became more in depth, so too did Douglas Doyle, and a more competent occult detective was needed. Thus, Sam Hain (named after the Pagan festival of samhain) was born.

The first novella in the Sam Hain series, All Hallows' Eve, was published as an ebook for Halloween 2013 and dedicated to All Hallows' Read. To date, six Sam Hain novellas have been published in the main series (plus one stand-alone adventure) and are available on Kindle and in paperback from the Sam Hain website, Amazon, and the odd bookshop. At present, the a special collector's edition is in the works, featuring the author's preferred text and amazing illustrations by the inestimable Camilla Winquist.
