About Bugle Call Radio

Hi, my name is Karin and I just started a new podcast...

Bugle Call Radio - The Podcast all about Swing!

Jazz, Swing and the history and stories around it is my big passion and I finally found a way to share this big passion. I started a podcast where I talk about about the music, the musicians, places, people and their stories. Tune in and let's dive into the Swing-Era together!

But you might ask yourself now: What is this page for? Let me explain...

Who am I?
My name is Karin Gadziala and I am a Swing dancer, dance teacher and Swing DJ based in Saarbrücken, a small city in south-west Germany. Basically, I am a Swing enthusiast all over. I am self-employed and try to spend as much time with my passion as possible. Now I started this podcast, to even dig a little bit deeper into the world of swing.

What is Patreon and why do I need it?
I play a lot of music in my podcast, because, let's be honest: What would be a Swing podcast without music? Since I don't own the rights to the music, I have to pay for a license, so I can use the songs. A license for 31 songs already costs 30 Euro per month. The more and more episodes I produce over time... you can calculate yourself what my dear hobby costs in the end.
I don't want to shy away from the financial effort and I wouldn't even mind if I didn't make any money with my podcast in the end. But to not get stuck with the costs, I need your support! If something would be left there for me personally at the end, I would take it as a positive side effect and reward for the many hours and days I put into an episode :) Would that be ok for you?

How can You become a Patron?
If you would like to support me and my project, you first have to register on the Patreon platform. Then you can choose out of three options, depending on how much money you want to pay per published episode. The levels you can choose from are 1€, 5€ or 10€ per episode. Depending on how big your contribution is, you can look forward to a small "thank you" from my side.

Well, what are you waiting for? On your mark, get set, be my Patron! :)
