c3nav is creating free open source navigation software for events

Hi, I'm Laura.

For the 32. Chaos Communication Congress I created c3nav – a navigation software that featured location search for everything at the congress, full navigation including accessibility options and even detecting your devices location on the whole area based on the Wifi Access Points nearby.
For the 33c3, c3nav got its own maprenderer and git-based editor. For the 34c3, it got a new way to propose changes, a new map renderer and an entirely new UI together with many more features. I have many more features and improvements planned – alongside with setting c3nav up for other and smaller events.

I develop c3nav completely in my free time. It is written in Python/Django and completely open source: https://github.com/c3nav/c3nav

If you become a patron you allow me to spend more time developing c3nav – also, you help me to cover the costs for hosting c3nav. I would appreciate it very much :)
Tiers
Basic supporter / Project insight
$3 or more per month
We don't publicly announce any plans or features in advance to avoid disappointments if they are not fully implemented in time – but they are exciting and interesting! Pledge $3 or more and you'll get access to this:
  • Announcements for future features and big changes in c3nav
  • Progress updates whenever there's something interesting to show or tell. There will be screenshots and some implementation details.
Premium supporter / Monthly Pizza
$10 or more per month
Pizza is awesome and a great motivator for coding! If you pledge $10 or more, that means one free pizza per month! Here's what you'll get in return:
  • All rewards listed above
  • We'll thank you publicly on our twitter account.
  • You will be mentioned on a seperate page of each c3nav instance hosted by us.
Goals
$28 of $42 per month
Looking at the number alone, this is obviously an important goal. Still, not much will happen if it is reached besides me being very happy because that amount of support really means much :3
