This will be enough to shove all my freelance aside (unless it pays REALLY well) and get back to the glory days of thrice-weekly Max.

The goal of running this patreon campaign is to get Max Overacts back to its original 3-times-a-week update schedule. That's why it's set as a monthly campaign, not per comic, because of it's successful and goes from 4 per month back to 12 or so, there's no change in pledge for you guys.

If by miracle you're here reading this and new to Max, it's an online comic about a young boy who wants to be a serious thespian, inspired by the old guy who lives next door, who used to be on a TV sci-fi show and is now retired from public life (think crabby Patrick Stewart.) At its heart, it's a comic about kids who aren't afraid to dream big in public, and the plan is to tell a long, epic, sprawling story, since the kids are all going to get older as the story moves along. None of this "Christmas always comes, but no-one ever ages" stuff. I have the final strip written already, it's just a matter of whether it will take me til I'm dead to tell the whole thing, or just 20-30 years, if I can make it my only job.
Which is where Patreon comes in!
(Click here if you'd like to read more about the strip and its characters.)
Currently I only earn money with freelance, but I'd love to push all that aside and work on Max full time. If that happens, it won't only be back to 3 times per week, I might even be able to find time to work on side material like a crazy person.
On the subject of the paid pdfs I have planned (for those in the 10 - 30 pledge range), here's a sample:
Hunter Gruntman - Klaus's forest odyssey (almost complete)
Max Firsts - About 20 strips detailing when the main characters all first met. (Half completed)
24 Hour Comic collection - 5 of my 24 hour comics crammed together in one big pdf. All black and white. Some better than others. (No Muppet Thor, but that's free on my site anyway.)
OCD Collection - this is all my old strips in one pdf. Furballs, Bates and Socrates, A Girl Named Bruce, The Middle Ages, & Children of Invention. (Just under 250 comic strips. Again, some better than others.) I'll probably add commentary to this one.
Others still in the planning stage:
Who's Watching Who? - This would be a comic version of Janet's TV pilot she left Max for to film in Vancouver. (It's a time travel story.)
Objects of Interest - This is the name of Andi's band. A 16 - 20 page story I have planned for Andi's 18th birthday where the girls head to a music festival.
Ace Mason stories - Short stories adapting some classic Ace TV episodes in to comics. The Cat People of Kansas. The Ice Beasts of Iglonus. Etc.
