Who Am I?

I'm a thick-wristed HVAC technician from New Jersey with an English degree. I've previously released fiction for reluctant readers through Ransom Publishing as well as fiction and setting material for Onyx Path, Aetherco, and other roleplaying game companies. As well, I design props for live-action gaming, using both manual tools and a laser cutter. I regularly encounters strangeness on a level you would expect to find on an basic cable anthology series among my family and friends. Supporting me here will let me transform those experiences into stories, images and physical objects, from fanciful tales of what-if to insights into the wonders of what would first seem to be a mundane workaday world.

What You Get

All Patrons get access to my works, with each post being short fiction, a series of images, or insights into aspects of my world from my laser-cutting work, to game design, to my efforts to teach my daughter art and storytelling techniques. Some stuff you'll find here:

  • Short Fiction
  • Graphic Design
  • Pictures of physical objects I have made (and a chance to get them)
  • Small Games and game theory such as nerd math and storytelling tools
  • Essays on blue collar workaday life and how it relates to the wider world.

I'll make 2 to three posts a week on average and I'll keep them interesting.

Current Projects

The Great Fiction Run: I've been trying to write a full short story every two weeks for a year, for submission to new markets. I'll share parts of them here.

In the Matter of Oxyartes, a Dragon: a fantasy novel where an adventurer and refugee nobleman turned lawyer gets a chance at seeking justice for an unusual client...

Compact Game Design: while I've taken a break from full publishing of RPGs, I'm still making micro-games and tooling around with ideas. With enough interest, I'll make small games, completely playable even by new gamers and sufficiently weird.

What You Are Getting Into

Here are some samples of my work so you can see what you are getting into, and seeing that I can deliver:

Conjure By Numbers: A short story in The Arcanist showing what happens when a Grand Earl of Hell matches up against a couple of New Jersey kids.

Tell Me About Yourself: Fiction I wrote for the upcoming Dystopia Rising: Evolution RPG, in a backer update for a project I worked on for Onyx Path Publishing

My Facebook Writer Page: Take a look at my short and long-form commentary on politics, gaming and other matters.
